While I wish they had more veggie or tofu options there is always miso, edamame, and seaweed salad. They have brussel sprouts and asparagus on the menu which I still need to try. They had a veggie roll, avocado, cucumber and asparagus rolls available. I had the YUM YUM roll it had to be done! While I did not ask if this tempura was vegan (it usually is not) this was one of the best veggie rolls I've ever had and there is a pretty picture to go with. Take away is this place is still good 15+ yrs later just give me a fried tofu steak roll please

What an incredible find! This spot is in a tiny spot in an unassuming strip mall, but the food is over and beyond what you would expect. We had multiple sushi rolls and also ramen and beef teriyaki. Everything was really excellent. The service was exceptionally speedy but also never made us feel rushed. Our kids loved the tonkatsu ramen. The highlight of the sushi was the snowman roll! My only downside was that the sushi rolls were cut a bit thicker than I prefer. Go early if you have a big group!

I have gone here so many times and I will keep coming back. They officially have the best ramen I have ever had. Their broth is perfect. I haven't been to anywhere else that tops their ramen. It is a small place and I hope they open up other restaurants in the Phoenix area one day! The service is always great and pleasing. They have great sushi but if you're looking for more high end sushi this is not the place. They are best known for their ramen! Drinks are always good and their appetizers and desserts are amazing!

We went looking for some authentic Japanese food. This was a small restaurant, but the people, service and food was top-notch. Walk with me. spicy edamame 4/5, -- had great spice and garlic flavor. Not overly spicy in my opinion. The sushi rolls were great 4/5. I am new to sushi, but I thought they were delicious and fresh. yakitori 4.5/5-- maybe just a little dry, but I will go back for that again. Gyoza 4/5-- flavorful and delicious. Nothing out of the ordinary, but done very well. Chicken teriyaki 3.5/5 -- it was delicious accompanied with some grilled onions. It was very good. Not too much sauce. I knew to sushi, but went with some friends which enjoy it. We all loved this place and were making plans to come back while we were still seated at the table. I loved that they had other Japanese items to order too. Highly recommend.

Worth the wait! while I generally don't have the patience to stand around for 30 minutes to an hour, Yutaka is worth it! The first time I went I was about to leave so many times, and glad I stuck through. That time and every time since has been amazing! The sushi is fresh and some of the best you can find in AZ. The ramen is well made with a flavorful broth, perfect eggs, and plentiful noodles. On top, the price is extremely fair for the portions and I never have hesitated to order more. The beef teriyaki is also great! The wait exists for a reason!

We had dinner here last year and were very impressed (don't let the strip mall beige location fool you). This time we came back for lunch. Arriving 5 mins before opening time for lunch on a Monday, we were surprised to see that there were customers already waiting outside! Within 30 mins of being open the place was full and they were turning people away. We tried the spicy garlic edamame to start, it was very good and I can honestly say that the miso soup was the best I've ever had and we have been to Japan many times. Expect huge portions of sashimi, their cuts are VERY generous and the fish quality is very high. Our server was great, he told us that Yutaka means abundance and that was their philosophy, they definitely live up to it. Highly recommended !

Stopped in for dinner with a friend on a Sunday night and the place was busy. That's a good sign in my opinion. It's a small space but doesn't feel crowded. It's spaced out well, brightly lit, clean, and tastefully decorated. Being that it was so busy we had to wait a bit to be helped but our server was great despite being so busy. I got the tonkatsu ramen and my friend got the hungryman roll. It was a lot of food! It was also really tasty. We both really enjoyed our meals. I had enough to take home for seconds and I'm looking forward to them. I will definitely stop in again. They're conveniently located right next to my barber after all!

Best ramen in the valley? We live right across the street from this restaurant so may be a bit bias, but they have the most amazing ramen! We're a bit upset it's so popular now since every time we go, it's an hour wait time now. But they deserve it! The food and service is great and the broth is to die for. Prices are good too. Our favorite place for Japanese ramen!

Reviewing the ramen, sesame chicken and seaweed salad, I will go back to try the sushi. This place is super popular so if you go during a busy time ( lunch and dinner rush) there will be a wait. The place is small but service is fast and friendly. The tonkatsu Ramen was ok. The broth needed salt and just more flavor. The noodles are actually really good! The egg was perfect and the pork was very tender. The broth just needed a lot of help. The chicken was ok my gf got that and she loves it. I just didn't think it was anything special. The seaweed salad was good but it had more green salad than seaweed. My gf had been here before and liked the sushi so I'll be back for that! Overall it was a good.
